முஸ்லிம் பெண்ணின் பர்தாவை விலக்க சொன்னதால் பரபரப்பு

இங்கிலாந்து நீதிமன்றத்தில் முஸ்லிம் பெண் அணிந்திருந்த பர்தாவை விலக்க சொன்னதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. இங்கிலாந்தின் பிளாக்பிரையர்ஸ் கிரவுன் நீதிமன்றத்தில் கடந்த 22ம் திகதி வழக்கு விசாரணை நடைபெற்றது. அதில் 21 வயது நிரம்பிய முஸ்லிம் பெண் ஒருவர் பிரதிவாதியாக நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜரான போது, அவரது மத வழக்கப்படி பர்தா அணிந்து வந்திருந்தார். இதனையடுத்து வழக்கை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி, பிரதிவாதி யாரென்பது நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு தெரிய வேண்டும். பர்தா அணிந்து வந்த காரணத்தால் அவரது கண்கள் மட்டுமே வெளியே தெரிகிறது. எனவே அவரது அடையாளத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்த தனது முகத்தை காட்ட வேண்டும் என்று தெரிவித்தார். இல்லையெனில் யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் அவரைப்போல் இங்கு ஆஜராக முடியும். நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு வெளியே அவர் தமது விருப்பபடி உடை அணிவதற்கு பூரண உரிமைகள் உண்டு என்ற போதிலும், நீதிவிசாரணையின் போது நீதி நலன்களே முதன்மையாக இருக்கும் என்றும் தெரிவித்தார். இருப்பினும் ஹாக்னேயிலிருந்து வந்திருந்த பெண் முஸ்லிம் என்பதால், மற்ற ஆண்கள் முன்னால் முகத்திரையை விலக்கமுடியாது என்றும், சட்ட காரணங்களுக்காக அவரது அடையாளத்தை வெளிப்படுத்த முடியாது என்றும் பத்திரிக்கை ஒன்று தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. "It would be easy for someone on a later occasion to appear and claim to be the defendant. The court would have no way to check on that," he said. According to The Daily Telegraph, the Muslim woman from Hackney, whose identity cannot be revealed for legal reasons, says she cannot remove the veil in front of men because of her religion.
